Williams was last seen in Naples, Florida, on January 12, 2004. Collier County Deputy Steven Calkins claimed he stopped Williams, who was driving a white Cadillac with engine issues and lacking valid documents. Calkins said he dropped him off at a Circle K store, where Williams supposedly worked, but store employees said they never had contact with him. A Circle K employee later stated she saw both men that morning. Calkins later claimed he called the store and found out Williams didn’t work there, but phone records don’t confirm this, and employees don’t recall the call.
