Tiffany Claudette Wise and her half sister Brandi Jondell Summers were abducted from their home on March 30, 1977. The girls' eight-month old sister was left behind unharmed while their mother, Beverly Wise, was discovered stabbed to death inside their home. Witnesses reported seeing a Caucasian male outside the family's home that day, putting Tiffany into a gold Camaro but, they did not see Brandi. The man resembled Roy who is Brandi's father. Roy admitted he had choked his wife, but claimed he'd done it in self-defense during an argument. He was set to stand trial for Beverly's murder and the abductions however, he never was brought to trial due to key witnesses against him had been hypnotized to improve their memories. the state had passed laws that disallowed testimony gained through hypnosis.
