In 2000, Trevor Angell worked as a long-haul truck driver for Cool-X Transport, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His routes involved hauling meat from Canada to the United States and returning with produce. In September 2000, he left Calgary with a load of bananas destined for Los Angeles, California. He was scheduled to return to Calgary with another shipment but never arrived. On September 22, 2000, Angell stopped at Whiskey Peteβs bar and casino in Primm, Nevada, while en route back to Canada. He has not been heard from since. His truck was discovered abandoned in the casinoβs parking lot. Between September 22 and 4:00 a.m. on September 23, someone used Angellβs ATM card to make nine withdrawals, depleting his entire paycheck. A waitress at Whiskey Peteβs reported serving Angell around 10:00 a.m. on September 23. Later, witnesses reported seeing him in the casino parking lot. He appeared unwell, clutching his stomach. His case remains unsolved.
