His truck was discovered on July 7th over an embankment on Old Coleman River Road. The sheriff's department had it towed without notifying the family, leaving them unaware for a week. Despite running his tags, no welfare check was conducted. A search of the area where the truck was found was conducted with dogs, but no leads or signs indicated that he had been there.
