Circumstances
The skull was reportedly purchased in New York as a souvenir around 1994. Weathering changes suggest that it had been outdoors for some time after death. Anthropology exam estimates the age to be around 6 or 7 years old. Sex has been determined to be female. Ancestry is likely Greek. The condition of the teeth shows evidence of good nutrition and adequate dental care. It is possible that the skull was stolen from a casketed burial or obtained from an unnatural death where the individual’s body had been exposed outdoors for a number of months. Death is estimated to have been between 1984 and 1992, although it is possible that it was much earlier than that.
