Family Desperately Seeks Information on Missing Man Cody Shumake

The Shumake family of Jacksonville, Florida, is issuing a heartfelt plea to the public for any information regarding the whereabouts of their beloved son and brother, Cody Shumake, who has been missing since February 1st, 2024.

Cody Shumake, aged 25, stands at 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 160 lbs, with distinctive brown hair and piercing brown eyes. He was last seen in Jacksonville, Florida, where he purchased food at Burger King located on 2717 N Main St on February 1st, 2024. It is vital to note that Cody bears several identifiable tattoos, including a phoenix tattoo on his chest, a rose tattoo on his hand, quarter arm tattoos, and a Backwoods logo tattoo on his inner bicep.

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is actively involved in the search for Cody. Anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 904-255-5174.

In a statement released by the family, they express their deep concern for Cody’s well-being and emphasize the urgency of finding him. “Has Anyone Seen Our Brother???? Cody,” the family implores, underscoring the anguish of uncertainty that has gripped them for over a month.

Further investigation has revealed potential sightings of Cody in the Henry County, Georgia area until the morning of January 31st, 2024. Subsequently, he returned to Jacksonville, Florida, arriving around 2 pm on January 31st. Records show that Cody visited the Burger King on N Main St in Jacksonville on January 31st at 6:49 pm and again on February 1st at 10:11 am. Despite these leads, the family remains distraught as the last confirmed contact with Cody was over a month ago.

“We unfortunately have no further information on his whereabouts at this time,” the family states. “If you do, however, or know someone who might, please reach out!” Their plea echoes through the community, as they cling to hope and wait for any news that may lead them to Cody’s safe return.
